I write children's books, particularly about a pair of Lhasa Apsos which appeared at the RSPCA conference last May. Would you be interested in a Link between our sites? Mine is a new one - storybookpaiges.co.uk - and is having a few teething troubles but should be sorted by the end of the week. Love your logos by the way! KF

Have found a little information on Perth Legge disease. What a relief to find it is not associated with our breed. The disease effects the hip joint which only has one supply of blood. If this is cut off by the disease or accident there is no option but to amputate the effected limb. Westies are the breed prone to this so I've been informed. Enjoyed this site very much. Keep up the good work

My husband & I recently purchased a pedigree male Lhasa Apso (Teebo)& after the three weeks we have had him, we would not be parted with him for anything. he is now 11 weeks old & his charachter is just beginning to form. He is so outgoing & needs to know everything. his favourite hobby so far is to chase our three cats, much to their dismay.

Fantastic site. We knew that there would be some decent information about this impish and rewarding breed somewhere. We purchased a pup for companionship and to become part of our family based purely on the glowing character reports this breed has. We would like to become members of the MLAA, however as we are not in breeding circles, we do not have anyone to propose or second us. Does anyone fancy helping us with this? It would be greatly appreciated.

We have recently lost our beloved Lhasa and are looking at options - re becoming owners of either a puppy or offering a home to a mature Lhasa. We live in North Yorkshire - have been very touched by the Lhasa's stories who need new owners. Can't believe that for what ever reason anyone could give up theirs. We are totally devestated by the loss of our 9 year old and now want to live again with a new member of the family. So will keep looking.

interested in rehoming a llasa apso. We unfortunately lost our little rescue dog last Friday(4th oct.)as she was being operated on (whilst being speyed). We had only had her 6 months and she was only about 4years old.My rescued 20 month old boxer doesn`t know what to do with himself! Any ideas where to obtain another llasa rescue dog.

I amd the first time owner of a lhasa apso. Rocko is almost 6 months old and is a pure delight. I would like to let his hair grow long and I was wondering if there were any special type brushes or what have you, that would make it easier to groom this particular type of dog. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have contacted Ian Ogden recently regarding the rehoming of our 2 bitches. I have recently left a message for Ian but so far he has not come back to me.In fairness I did say there was no rush but circumstances have changed and we need to do something fairly quickly. We are moving abroad and there is no chance of taking the dogs. They are Sophie(10)and Lucy(8) both are neutered and have been together since Lucy was a puppy. They are both good natured and could be homed seperately. Sophie has recently been to the vet and he has said her eyesight is failing. Lucy is in good health. An early response would be appreciated. I am always interested in reading and researching stories and photographs of Lhasa apsos, and without a shadow of a doubt, your website is the most outstanding source for this information. There is no other lhasa club website that compares with the MLAA website. Well done, you club members should be very grateful for the wonderful service that you provide them with.
